We are thrilled to share a heartwarming event that highlights the dedication and community spirit of our Multilingual Learners (ML) team.
After weeks of administering the WIDA assessments — a series of tests designed to measure English language proficiency among our students—Mrs. Becker, our devoted ML educator, went above and beyond to express her gratitude. She stayed up late to bake a variety of delicious treats, which were then distributed to all staff members as a heartfelt thank you for their support during the testing period. A big thank you to her and to Mrs. Reichard who helped coordinate and cover classes during this testing season.
To ensure a conducive testing environment, students were temporarily pulled from their regular classes, and the school's passing period bells were turned off to minimize interruptions. Recognizing the collective effort of all at Lakeview, Mrs. Becker's thoughtful gesture, delivered by our students on a cart full of goodies, truly warmed our hearts this Valentine's Day.
This act of kindness not only underscores the commitment of our ML team but also exemplifies the strong sense of community at Lakeview Middle School. We are proud to have such dedicated educators and supportive staff working together for the success of ALL students!
